Accessible Health Reform Solutions

Our Solution Section ImageThe Health Reform Coalition will assist front line health and social workers as well as solutions providers deliver on the goals of the national health reform act through a series of cost-effective, high impact targeted solutions.  These solutions are local, yet relevant to communities across the nation, designed to pay off now and well into the future, benefiting the entire healthcare value stream.

  • HRC solutions are process and people oriented, designed to leverage the trust between residents and local faith, health and social workers, while promoting collaboration among other interested members of the local community.
  • HRC solutions overcome the limitations of age, culture, language, disability, literacy and income, which is essential when helping patients make better informed medical decisions, avoid medical mistakes and better comply with self-care and preventive measures.
  • The HRC prescription program and funding for expansion has already been earmarked in existing budgets for health reform solutions, through government agencies and public/private foundations. For this reason, the HRC will deliver measurable, beneficial results within 3 months of participating in the HRC's community-enabling solutions.
  • HRC Solutions pay for themselves out of savings after the first year of operation.  Support tools and training modules will create additional jobs in the healthcare sector by allowing lower skilled health and social workers to get into the field faster - without compromising quality or patient safety. This is essential if we are to overcome the acknowledged shortage of health workers that is an obstacle to improve access.  Inappropriate ER utilization will be curbed, resulting in significant annual savings - eliminating costs and risks for participating health and hospital systems after the first year of deployment.

We are currently piloting our Prescription Program in clinics and churches across the nation.  Our core application will launch in early fall 2010 and invitations will be sent out soon to interested participants.  These solutions will fill unmet human needs locally, regionally, national and internationally.

Invitation:

We invite Municipal Health and Hospital Systems, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Non-Profits and faith/community-based organizations who are committed to improving the health of their members to participate in the first phase of our Health Reform Solutions Pilot.

Participation is free and the rewards are limitless.
